President
Roy Jahchan
Hello Folks, I'm going to be serving as the president of the PSSA for the next year. I'm a U3 Political Science Honours student with a main focus on Canadian Politics. The PSSA is an incredible resource for all Political Science students. It's a great way to get involved in the McGill (and
Montreal) community, invoke change, and meet all kinds of your peers. As president, my goal is to make sure that the PSSA is relevant to students, and providing you with opportunities and insights regarding your degree and your university. We're always looking for new faces, new hands, and new ideas, so if you're interested and want to get involved we're more than happy to have you. I'm looking forward to the upcoming year, and I hope you are too!
VP External
Chelsea Moore
Hello to all political science students! I am the new VP External for 2008-09 and I’m very excited to work with all of you because I know we are going to have a really great year. My position involves planning all of the external events for the PSSA, and I’m going to do my best to make sure that the trips are cost-effective, and, given our tight political science schedules, worth your while. Please email me if you want to get involved, or if you have any questions at all. Enjoy 2008/09 at McGill!

VP Finance
Logan Clark
Hey everyone, I’m Logan, your new VP Finance. I’m a third year international student from the states, going for an Honours B.A. in Poli Sci, and minoring in Economics. Hopefully, I’ll end up working for the Foreign Service, because I’m a massive news junkie, and international politics are my bread and butter. So don’t be surprised when I get excited over something like Russia invading
Georgia. In the meanwhile though, I plan to rock out in intramural soccer, work on my cooking skills, and listen to copious amounts of old school rap. I’m really psyched to have an awesome year with the PSSA, and if you have any questions about anything, I’m always around
VP Academic
Gabriela Dehesa-Azuara
Hi Poli Sci students (or anyone who is looking at this)! I am Gaby – short for Gabriela – I am this year VP Academic. I am doing an Honours Program in Political Science with a focus on international relations and development. My minor is history with the theme of conflict and resolution. I am very excited for this year and to implement all the plans I have for the PSSA, or at least try. I am happy to mold this new portfolio into the needs of the students. My ultimate goal is to better student – prof relations. I have two pet projects for this year. One is a series of workshops that will address students concerns from grad school application to exam taking. My second project is to form a peer adviser program for poli sci students. There is a lot to be done and I hope in the process of doing it I will meet interesting people and hopefully change things in the poli sci department a bit.
VP Communications
Elisabeth Couture
Hey poli sci students! I’m Liz, your VP Comm for this year. I’m in my final year of a double major in Political Science and International Development Studies and a minor in Anthropology. My job as an exec in the PSSA is to send out your weekly Listservs, manage the website, and update students on events being organized by the PSSA. If you have any questions or want to get involved, feel free to send me an email, and I look forward to meeting lots of new poli sci students this year!
